Introduction: Compared with normal physiological mechanism, the absorption of insulin injected via subcutaneous route is slower; this leads to high postprandial glucose levels. The absorption rate of subcutaneously injected insulin varies widely with injection site, therefore resulting in the increases of glucose variation, leading to the occurrence of hyperglycemia (higher blood glucose level) and hypoglycemia (lower blood glucose level). This technology is designed to induce the alternating heating of the skin at the injection site, thereby stabilizing and increasing the local blood flow. Technological advantages: It can improve the effectiveness of subcutaneous administration and disease management tools; without compromising heat-sensitive insulin drugs, local treatment at the injection site can induce the condition which is favorable for the absorption of subcutaneously injected drugs. Technological applications: Insulin users or other subcutaneously administered products |
