The 4th China-CEEC Conference on Innovation Cooperation Held in BelgradeRelease time:2019-10-09The 4th China-CEEC Conference on Innovation Cooperation was held in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, on October 8, 2019. Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic noted in her speech at the opening ceremony that Serbia values the good relationship with China and hopes to take the opportunity of hosting this innovation cooperation conference to deepen cooperation in fields of innovation, artificial intelligence, robotics and digitalization in the entire Central and Eastern European region. Serbia’s Minister of Innovation and Technological Development Nenad Popovic expressed in his speech that the 4th China-CEEC Conference on Innovation Cooperation will not only provide new ideas for Serbia to formulate innovation policies, but also further promote its economic development.
In his speech, China’s Minister of Science and Technology Wang Zhigang said that scientific and technological innovation cooperation has become a new highlight of China-CEEC cooperation. This year’s innovation cooperation conference will deepen the friendly cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries. Central and Eastern European countries have been China’s important partners of international scientific and technological cooperation for a long time. Research institutes and researchers have established reliable and friendly relations, according to Wang Zhigang. He added that fruitful results have been achieved in machinery manufacturing, new materials, aerospace, food processing, bioengineering and many other fields. A new landscape of scientific and technological innovation cooperation in all dimensions, in various areas, and at different levels has gradually taken shape.
The two-day conference has attracted nearly 600 participants from China and Central and Eastern European countries. During the conference, Chinese companies and universities signed 12 cooperation agreements with Serbia, covering fields like pharmaceuticals, environmental protection, smart cities, and joint laboratories.
