On November 21, with the support of Science and Technology Department of Jiangsu Provincial Government and Yangzhou Municipal Government, organized by Belt and Road Alliance for Collaborative Innovation & Technology Transfer, co-organized by Productivity Centre of Jiangsu Province and Yangzhou Science and Technology Bureau, Jiangsu “Belt and Road” Innovation Cooperation and Technology Transfer matchmaking exchange was held in Yangzhou. Zhao Zhiqiang, director of Productivity Centre of Jiangsu Province, Li Xuqin, consultant of the International Cooperation Division of Science and Technology Department of Jiangsu Provincial Government, Fang Guilin, deputy mayor of Yangzhou Government, and Tibor Buček, Special Consultant of Deputy Prime Minister of Slovakia, attended the conference and delivered speeches. More than 200 people including the guests from over 20 foreign universities, research institutes, government innovation departments and companies of Russia, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Israel, Korea and other "Belt and Road" (OBOR) related countries and territories, and the representatives from the Province’s high-tech parks, universities' research institutes and enterprises participated in the event.

Zhao Zhiqiang, director of Productivity Centre of Jiangsu Province, made a keynote speech. He gave an introduction of Belt and Road Alliance for Collaborative Innovation & Technology Transfer including its background of foundation, purpose and services, main work progress and future development orientation. Since the foundation, the Alliance has established close partnership with 28 OBOR - related countries and territories, launched more than 50 scientific and technological cooperation projects, and established more than 30 innovation carriers such as joint laboratories and offshore incubators; in the future, the Alliance will further promote the landing of innovation cooperation achievements in OBOR - related countries, extend the friend circle of “Belt and Road” innovation cooperation, continually improve the Alliance's organizational structure and business forms, organize a professional scientific and technological service team, drive international production capacity cooperation depending on scientific and technological, create the service brands of the Alliance.

At the opening ceremony, Li Xuqin, consultant of the International Cooperation Division of Science and Technology Department of Jiangsu Provincial Government, and Fang Guilin, deputy mayor of Yangzhou Government, delivered speeches respectively on behalf of the organizer and host. Mr. Tibor Buček, Special Consultant of Deputy Prime Minister of Slovakia, Hou Xun, Vice General Manager of Soho Investment Group Co., Ltd., and Li Xudong, General Manager of the International Business Department of Myande Group, made keynote speeches, shared the cases of “Belt and Road” special fund and international cooperation respectively. In addition, some foreign institutions released their cooperation projects.

At the "one-on-one" negotiation site, more than 100 pairs of enterprises, R&D institutions from Jiangsu and overseas companies, R&D institutions conducted exchange and matchmaking with each other, among all, Metalink Special Alloys Corp., Ukraine Elmet-Roll Engineering Co., Ltd.; Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and SPbPU; Yangzhou Xianye Group Co., Ltd. and Hungary LC Innoconsult International Co., Ltd; Jiangsu Tairui Technology Co., Ltd. and Israel Kardome; Jiangsu Easttrans Intelligent Control Technology Group Co., Ltd. and Solutionlink Korea have entered into preliminary intention of cooperation. The alliance will follow up the matchmaking results; provide support for the realization of this cooperation.

All the companies attending the event said that such an event benefited them a lot. In the future, Belt and Road Alliance for Collaborative Innovation & Technology Transfer will, as always it does, adhere to the principle of "Mutual-consultation, Co-construction and Sharing", give full play to its role as an open and resource-gathering platform, regularly organize matchmaking activities, to help the enterprises of Jiangsu share opportunities, seek common growth and work together to create a new brand of scientific and technological innovations.

The Conference lasted 3 days. The alliance also organized overseas representatives to conduct field visits and exchanges, carry out negotiation and matchmaking in the High-tech Industrial Parks in Yangzhou and Nanjing.
