With the support of Science and Technology Department of Jiangsu Provincial Government and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Shanghai, cosponsored by the Jiangsu Center of International Technology Transfer, Nanjing Science and Technology Bureau, KOTRA and Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement (KIRIA) and co-organized by Jiangning District Science and Technology Bureau of Nanjing, the 2019 China (Jiangsu) - Korea Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Cooperation Forum & Matchmaking Conference was successfully held in Nanjing on June 25-26. Duan Xiong, deputy director general of Science and Technology Department of Jiangsu Provincial Government, Zhang Bingsong, chief representative of the Nanjing Representative Office of KOTRA, and Kim Fansoo, Commercial Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Shanghai attended the opening ceremony of the forum and delivered speeches.

 

The Korean delegation organized 20 Korean enterprises from the intelligent manufacturing, robotics, intelligent factories and other fields to participate in this activity. Nearly 200 representatives of Chinese enterprises from Beijing, Shanghai, Hunan, Shandong, Anhui and other provinces and cities attended the opening ceremony and matchmaking activities.

 

On the morning of June 25, Duan Xiong, deputy director general of Science and Technology Department of Jiangsu Provincial Government, briefly reviewed the Memorandum of Understanding on Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation officially signed in Nanjing by Science and Technology Department of Jiangsu Provincial Government and KOTRA in September last year, which laid a better foundation for promoting the extensive and efficient science and technology innovation cooperation between both sides. Duan Xiong pointed out that Lou Qinjian, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, delivered a keynote speech at the Jiangsu Korea open innovation cooperation and exchange conference held in Seoul last month, which sowed more seeds of friendship for the cooperation and exchange between Jiangsu and Korea, and pointed out the direction for the in-depth cooperation between both sides in fields such as scientific and technological innovation. It is hoped that through this forum and the investment and matchmaking conference, the representatives of participating enterprises will give full play to their respective industrial and technological merits and actively carry out extensive and fruitful scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation.

 

Professor Liao Wenhe, vice president of Nanjing University of Science and Technology, and Professor Jin Dongzhu, chief representative of the Beijing Representative Office of Korea Institute of industry, delivered keynote speeches on China-Korea intelligent manufacturing innovation strategy, overall industrial situation and opportunities and challenges. Zhu Jinda, deputy chief engineer of NARI Group and President of Nari Technology Co., LTD. and Cui Zhongtao, general manager of South Korea POSCO shared the successful cases of the enterprise respectively. KIRIA and some Korean enterprises released technical information on the forum.

 

On the afternoon of June 25, at the one-on-one matchmaking conference, the representatives of Chinese and Korean enterprises conducted positive exchanges and negotiations. 140 pairs of technical projects have been arranged on site, including 102 pairs effectively matched and cooperated plus 21 Chinese institutions have reached the initial cooperation intention with the Korea. Among them, Korea ROTAL Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum of cooperation with A Lida (Changzhou) Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. and Zhuineng Robot (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. on the field of tension sensor technology and AGV system integration technology to reach cooperation intention. Korea DOOSAN MOTTRPL and Nanjing EATON Co., Ltd. will carry out comprehensive cooperation in the field of reducers and some other technical fields.

 

On the morning of June 26, the delegation of Korean enterprises went to Nari Technology Co., Ltd. and Nanjing ESTUN Co., Ltd. For learning and research, listened to the detailed introduction of the enterprise in the exhibition hall and production workshop and had in-depth discussion with technical staff. In the afternoon, the Korean intelligent factory technology training seminar was held in Jiangning Science and Technology Innovation Center. Three enterprises from Korea conducted the practical elementary knowledge training on the construction of intelligent factory in their respective strong fields, such as HMI automation system knowledge, PLC & servo motor control technology, AGV application in factory automation and logistics automation, etc., to create an opportunity for enterprises and institutions in Jiangsu Province for technical exchange and cooperation.

 

The two-day China (Jiangsu) - Korea Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Cooperation Forum and Matchmaking Conference has rounded off. The Chinese and Korean enterprises participating in the conference unanimously said that the activity was highly efficient, practical and rich in content, which achieved good results. Next Jiangsu Center of International Technology Transfer will continue to follow up, to create conditions for the institutions and enterprises that intend to cooperate with and for the implementation of the project.
