1. Project name: Research on Switched Reluctance Motor Drive System for New Energy Electric Vehicles

2. Project content: Established a new model of electric-magnetic-thermal coupling of the switched reluctance drive motor system for electric vehicles, invented the electrical fault diagnosis technology of the switched reluctance drive motor system for electric vehicles, invented the fault diagnosis, positioning and fault-tolerant control technologies of the position sensor of the switched reluctance drive motor system for electric vehicles, invented the output torque pulsation elimination control technology of the switched reluctance drive motor system for electric vehicles, and developed a set of prototypes of switched reluctance drive motor system for electric vehicles. Applied for 11 Chinese invention patents and authorized 7 Chinese invention patents. Trained 3 doctoral students with a doctorate degree and 7 master students with a master’s degree.

4. Key points of cooperation: Revealed the energy flow and heat flow patterns in the electromechanical energy conversion and heat transfer process of the switched reluctance drive motor system, obtained the electromagnetic-control parameter coupling and regularities of heat distribution, and solved the real-time nonlinear dynamic simulation, modeling, and temperature rise control problems of the switched reluctance motor system. Discovered characteristics and rules of phase current of faults of switched reluctance drive motor body and power converter, solved the fault diagnosis problems of non-AC sine, non-DC, unipolar power supply motors and power converters, and improved the reliability of the switched reluctance drive motor system for electric vehicles with highly non-linear characteristics, mechanical and electrical integration of the motor and the power converter. Realized automatic switching and seamless connection between low speed, medium speed, high speed and current chopping control, angle position control during acceleration, deceleration and constant speed operation, not affected by load changes and will not cause output torque fluctuations due to switching between turn-on angle and turn-off angle. Compared with motor drive systems of other types of electric vehicle at home and abroad, the developed switched reluctance motor drive system of energy electric vehicles has obvious advantages in reducing manufacturing and operating costs of electric vehicles and improving system reliability. Occupy the commanding height of key technologies and international intellectual property rights, and strive to open up the application market in Eastern Europe.
