The Stories of Technology Transfer


Lianyungang Zhengfen Bio-energy Ltd. is a modern new and hi-tech company engaging with production and marketing of green new energy products like bio-diesel, bio-plasticizer. The company signed an agreement with Ben-Gurion University of the Negev on June 2, 2009 in a bid to introduce Isodiesel, trademark for an innovative diesel fuel produced from renewable biomass sources, namely fatty acids from vegetable oils and/or animal fats. The innovative technology enables Isodiesel to retain its preferred properties no matter what the feedstock source is.
The project is facilitated by Jiangsu Center of International Technology Transfer who organized the First China Jiangsu Conference for International Technology Transfer & Commercialization. Owing to the project, Lianyungang Zhengfen Bio-energy Ltd. map out a plan to invest in building a production line with annual production capability of 200,000 tons of second generation bio-diesel, improve planting base of raw material so as to expand the base into a large scale one and set up a coastal planting base of 300,000 mu. And Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is one of partner of the JITT who took part in the First China Jiangsu Conference for International Technology Transfer & Commercialization last year.

Gagomers are novel particles (neither liposomes nor microspheres /nanospheres) composed of hyaluronan shell which is crossed linked to phospholipids and can be generated either as micro or nano particles. The research team at Tel Aviv University has demonstrated that: (1) Gagomers efficiently encapsulate fibrillar Insulin (2) gagomers are protecting the insulin in the GIT (3) Due to the hyaluronan shell Gagomers are targeting the Insulin to intestinal mucosa and show muco-adhesive properties in the intestine and (4) In vivo studies with diabetic (STZ-induced) mice, under conditions that mimic human eating habits, demonstrated an anti Glycemic effect reducing blood glucose levels from diabetic to normal.
Chia-tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. has entered into agreement with Ramot at Tel-Aviv University, Israel to introduce Gagomers. According to the agreement, the company will fully fund the project, but two parties will jointly work on the next stage research on Gagomers in a bid to commercialize the achievement as soon as possible. The company will own exclusive right of Gagomers in China to produce and market.
Chia-tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., located in Lianyungang City, is a large-size comprehensive pharmaceutical manufacturer mainly dealing with anti-hepatitis virus medicines and drug materials export-oriented to oversea market.
Nanjing Sky Electronic Enterprise Co., Ltd. arrived at an agreement with Singapore SDL Technologies Pte Ltd. on June 25, 2009 aiming to introduce new type “Hard Real-time” motion controller. Multi-channel, multi-axle servo controller will be used in industrial microcomputer, which not only suits for multi-axis digital controlled machine, but also for multi-axis of industrial automation and multipoint control system. In addition, the new type “Hard Real-time” motion controller is suitable both for centralized control mode and discrete control mode.
The cooperation aims to re-plan and design hardware and software of multi-channel, multi-axis servo controller. Nanjing Sky Electronic Enterprise Co., Ltd is responsible for the final experiment of motion control card and Singapore SDL Technologies Pte Ltd. will be in charge of equipment of automation application, measure and checker used in digital controlled process center.
Nanjing Sky Electronic Enterprise Co., Ltd was founded in 1993 engaging with study on CNC system and machine tool and with a history of 16 years working on R&D of servo motion controller. And the servo motion controller produced by the company is used in five-axis CNC machines that also produced by the company. Singapore SDL Technologies Pte Ltd. grow out of The Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech) and has been working on design, application and installment of CNC System Software.
