Jiangsu Enterprises to Finland and Netherlands Projects Matchmaking and Exchange Activity Achieves Big Success

During the 17th meeting of the China - Finland Joint Scientific and Technical Cooperation Commission, in order to further promote the implementation of the Jiangsu-Finland R&D cooperation plan and to access to high-tech innovation resources of Netherlands, Jiangsu Center of International Technology Transfer organized a 29-people delegation from 19 high-tech enterprises in Jiangsu to visit Finland and Netherlands for the projects matchmaking and exchange activities on areas such as technology, smart city and health care from March 26 to April 4. The visit was invited by Finnish National Technology Innovation Agency and the government of Northern Brabant, Netherlands.

Petri Peltonen, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland, together with Huang Wei, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Science and Technology of China, attended the Jiangsu – Finland Industry Cooperation Plan and Project Exchange Communication Conference. Both sides gave full recognition to the cooperation between China and Finland in recent years, especially gave high appreciation to the achievement of the Jiangsu – Finland Industrial R&D Cooperation Plan. Tekes has organized more than 40 Finnish high-tech enterprises to attend the conference, conducting one-on-one matchmaking negotiations with the delegation of Jiangsu enterprises. 6 Jiangsu enterprises reached cooperation intentions with Finnish enterprises in matchmaking site, and another 5 enterprises expressed their will on contacting Finnish enterprises to follow up potential cooperation projects. During the visit in Finland, the delegation went to many well-known R&D institutions and incubators such as Helsinki University of Applied Sciences, Finnish National Technology Research Center, Entrepreneurship Sauna Center, Design Factory, as well as Turku Smart City Demonstration Zone and Intelligent Chemical Industry Park.

During the visit in Netherlands, the delegation were divided into four groups: intelligent city, cleaning technologies, medical health and LED lighting, respectively visited Eindhoven University of Technology, Municipal Services Facilities for Garbage and Water Treatment and the Eindhoven Hi-Tech Park, conducting one-on-one matchmaking negotiations with the well-known enterprises in the industry. A total of 8 Jiangsu enterprises reached a preliminary cooperation intention with Dutch enterprises.
