Project Matchmaking Activity of Jiangsu Delegation to Israel and Russia was Successfully Completed

During November 10-17, in order to promote the construction of the Jiangsu-Israel (International) Technology Transfer Centre and further explore the channels of the “Belt and Road” Innovation Cooperation and Technology Transfer Alliance, Zhao Zhiqiang, Director of Productivity Centre of Jiangsu Province led a team of 4 people to Israel, Russia to make visits and exchanges, which focused on the matchmaking with a number of innovations carriers and world-class universities such as the Israel Jiangsu Centre, the Tomsk Oblast Regional and International Relations Office, Investment Development and Project Management Fund of Tomsk Region, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, and Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU).

 

While in Israel, the delegation visited the Israel Jiangsu Centre. Mr. Ilan Maimon, General Manager of the Centre introduced the development history and service model of Innovation Centre, and expressed strong expectation towards the Jiangsu-Israel Technology Transfer Centre to be jointly established by the two sides. Director Zhao Zhiqiang introduced the basic situation of Jiangsu Scientific and Technological Innovations and the strategic layout of the Centre in abroad, and pointed out that in the future, the Centre will attract more Israeli technology projects and teams to match make with the industrial parks and enterprises from Jiangsu over Jiangsu-Israel Technology Transfer Centre, and provide professional services for the mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and offshore incubation of Jiangsu’s enterprises in Israel. The representatives from several well-known Israeli technology transfer institutions and companies such as General Manager of Israel Sheng-BDO, Deputy President of Afeka College and Betalin attended the forum. After the meeting, General Manager Ilan Maimon and Director Zhao Zhiqiang jointly unveiled the Jiangsu-Israel Technology Transfer Centre.

 

In Tomsk Oblast, Russia, the delegation was given a warm reception by Mr. Volkov, the Deputy Director of the Tomsk Oblast Regional and International Relations Office, and Yasyuke, General Manager of Investment Development and Project Management Fund of Tomsk Region, and thoroughly surveyed the economic and scientific and technological development of Tomsk Oblast. Both sides made clear that in the future, they will focus on the superiority domains such as electronic information, artificial intelligence, new materials, healthcare, and further realistically strengthen the construction of the Sino-Russian innovation service platform taking substantive project as the goal of matchmaking, establish a comprehensive strategic partnership between Jiangsu and Tomsk Oblast in the field of scientific and technological innovations. Tomsk Polytechnic University, Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radio electronics, and Tomsk Oblast high-tech industrial cluster attended the forum.

 

While in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, the delegation visited two top technological universities of Russia, i.e.: Bauman Moscow State Technical University, and Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU). Mr. Kuznetsov Mikhail Valenkinovic, Vice President of Bauman Moscow State Technical University, introduced their R&D advantages in the fields of mechanical manufacturing, aerodynamics, chemical engineering, engineering and construction, and discussed in depth the pragmatic practices of technology transfer with the delegation. Antonov Sergei, director of the International Cooperation Division of SPbPU proposed to establish a closer industrial incubation accelerator partnership with the Centre. Relevant professors of the university introduced the electric control system and sensor projects of their current interest in cooperation with Jiangsu.

 

In this visit, in addition to official launch of the construction of Jiangsu-Israel  Technology Transfer Centre, the Centre will focus on negotiating the joint construction of Sino-Russia industrial technology accelerator with top technological universities of Russia including SPbPU, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, and Tomsk Polytechnic University, and provide good services of technology transfer in the future especially in our province’s priority industrial fields such as intelligent manufacturing, new materials, semiconductors, and biomedicine.
