2016 Sino-Korea IT Roadshow was Successfully Conveyed in Nanjing

On September 2, entrusted by Jiangsu Science and Technology Department and Consulate General of South Korea in Shanghai, Jiangsu Centre of International Technology Transfer, Nanjing Science& Technology Commission and KOTRA (South Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) cohosted 2016 Sino-Korea IT Roadshow in Nanjing to explore more cooperative projects on the basis of the exiting partnerships between the companies and research institutes of the two sides

This activity is the fifth S&T communication and matchmaking event cohosted by JITTC and KOTRA since 2013, also the 2nd event this year. Before the event, KOTRA, JITTC and Nanjing Science& Technology Commission worked closely to provide services, such as matching for enterprises and institutes from both sides. 13 renowned Korean IT companies attended the conference and delivered technology briefings on Smart Factory, Big Data, Cloud Contact, Web Conference, etc. to over 120 participants from more than 70 Jiangsu companies.Based on the interactions prior to the conference, Jiangsu and South Korean companies had81 one-to-one meetings, among which 15 have reached cooperative intent.

In the opening ceremony of the roadshow, Commercial Consul from Consulate General of South Korea in Shanghaiintroduced the status quo and future vision on IT&T industry in South-Korea and wished the roadshow a smooth and successful one. Officer fromInternational Cooperation Division of JSTD made the opening speech, introducing the huge market scale of IT&T industry in Jiangsu and expressing a wish for closer S&Tcooperation between Jiangsu and Korean companies in this area. KOTRA, along with the 13 Korean companies, then gave detailed introductions to their technologies, products and product commercialization.

After the one to one meeting, representatives from Korean companies said that they are impressed by Jiangsu enterprises’ brisk demands and massive market potential. The conference has laid a solid ground for future cooperation between the two sides.
