On Nov. 9, Mr. Xu Nanping, Assistant Governor and Director-General of Jiangsu Department of Science and Technology met with Mr. Avi Hasson, the Chief Scientist of the Israeli Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor, Mr. Jackie Eldan, Consul General of Israel in Shanghai and other Israeli officials. He highly appreciated the bilateral industrial R&D cooperation between Jiangsu and Israel, and thanked the Office of the Chief Scientist and the Consulate General of Israel in Shanghai for their contributions to the Joint Industrial R&D Cooperation Program.
He said that Jiangsu was undergoing changes from industry transfer to technology transfer, while Israel possessed perfect R&D system; Additionally, Jiangsu had strong manufacturing capabilities; Therefore, the two complemented each other ideally; Jiangsu-Israel Industrial R&D Cooperation Program provided a platform for cooperation between enterprises of both sides; Israel had become one of the most important partner countries to Jiangsu.
Mr. Avi Hasson remarked that China was one of the most important partner countries to Israel, and Jiangsu was on top of the list of Israel’s partners in China. He highly praised current cooperation with Jiangsu and expressed confidence in future cooperation with Jiangsu.
