The 4thJoint Committee Meeting for Jiangsu (China) - Israel R&D Program was held in Nanjing on Nov. 9. Mr. Cao Sumin, Deputy Director-General of Jiangsu Department of Science and Technology (JSTD), Mr. Li Qi, Deputy Director-General of JSTD, Mr. Avi Hasson, the Chief Scientist of the Israeli Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor, Ms. Mina Goldiak, the Deputy Chief Scientist, the Israeli Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor, Mr. Jackie Eldan, Consul General of Israel in Shanghai, and other related staff attended the meeting.
Both sides reviewed the exchange visits of senior officials to the other country and the three Calls for Proposals, and recognized the efforts made by one side for the other as well as the achievements accomplished in the program. The Joint Committee discussed the projects in the 4th Call for Proposal and made final decisions on them. In addition, they exchanged views on activities of the following year and the next Call for Proposal.
The meeting centered on the implementation of the Agreement on Bilateral Cooperation in Industrial R&D singed by Mr. Luo Zhijun, Secretary of Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China with the Israeli Ministry of Trade, Labor and Industry during his visit to Israel this July. The delegates had in-depth discussions on the establishment of the Joint R&D Fund.
After the Joint Committee Meeting, Israeli Delegation visited Nanjing Xuzhuang Software Park, Museum of Intellectual Electrical Grid and enterprises undertaking the projects in Jiangsu (China) - Israel Industrial R&D Program.
