2ndChina-Italy Innovation Cooperation Conference was opened in Nanjing on Oct. 31. Mr. Wan Gang, Minister of Science and Technology of China, and Mr. Renato Brunetta, Minister of Public Administration and Innovation of Italy attended the conference and delivered speeches. Mr. He Quan, the Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province also addressed the conference.
Minister Wan Gang suggested that both sides put the construction of three China-Italy Centers high on the agenda for the action plan of enhancing China-Italy economic cooperation; facilitate industrial matchmaking between Chinese and Italian science parks; promote the establishment of commercialization consortia and solve global issues jointly via significant and quality R&D cooperation programs.
Mr. Attilio Massimo Iannucci, Italian Ambassador in China, Mr. Vincenzo De Luca, Italian Consul General in Shanghai, and representatives from Italian company were present as well.
The conference consisted of innovation forum, interactive session, thematic dialogues, B2B meetings and on-site visits to cities in Jiangsu, covering fields such as Design and Originality, Information Technology and Software, Medicine and Medicare Technology, New Energy, Energy Saving and Environmental Protection, Advanced Manufacturing and so on. Nearly 500 Italian and Chinese representatives attended this conference.
Parallel to B2B meetings, thematic dialogues were also arranged concerning areas including Design and Originality, Information Technology and Software, and Biotech and Medicare.
On Nov. 1, more than 120 Italian representatives divided into three groups visited science and technology parks in Nanjing, Wuxi and Suzhou.
