Co-sponsored by China Science and Technology Exchange Center (CSTEC), Jiangsu Department of Science and Technology (JSTD), the Office of the Chief Scientist of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor, Israel (OCS), and the Israeli Industry Center for Research and Development (MATIMOP), ‘the Israeli Life Science & Technology Road Show in China – Nanjing’ was successfully convened in Nanjing on 19th, Sept.
Mr. Cao Suming, the Deputy Director-General of JSTD, Mr. Xing Jijun, the Deputy Director of CSTEEC, and Mr. Michel Henri Hivert, the Director of MATIMOP had attended the show and delivered addresses. Ms. Ora Dar, the Chief Scientist of Life Science of OCS, and a representative from Biomics Biotechnologies Co., Ltd. gave presentations to all the representatives. Afterwards enterprises from Jiangsu and Israel conducted one-to-one meetings.
Israeli enterprises attended meeting with cooperation proposals and product samples in the hope of seeking cooperation on R&D, project commercialization, risk investment etc.
To support the fifth Call for Proposals-Jiangsu (China)-Israel Program, and push forward the effective matchmaking between enterprises from Jiangsu and Israel, JITTC did sufficient publicities and preparations. 80 meeting appointments had been made before the road show. In addition, JITTC organized about 200 representatives with cooperation intention from about total 110 bio-medicine and medical equipment companies in Jiangsu.
In the event, more than 150 one-to-one meetings had been carried out between enterprises of the two sides. 20 meetings turned out to be fruitful with both sides sharing cooperation intentions and wishing to have further communication after the show. A batch of enterprises found their needing technology projects and partners.
During the event, JSTD and OCS had a talk, exchanging ideas about and discussed the publicity of Jiangsu-Israel Industrial R&D cooperation programs, call for proposals and review, implementation of the Joint Jiangsu-Israel industrial R&D fund etc.
